RGB LED Neon

RGB LED Neon

Imagine a sign that glows soft pastel pink in the morning, shifts to pure white at noon, turns into a moody purple in the evening and dances through the full palette of 16 million shades on a Saturday night. That’s exactly what a RGB neon is — the most flexible product in our range, designed for people who don’t want to be limited to a single color and who care about full mood control in their space. Operation is by infrared remote (included) or a Wi-Fi smartphone app. RGB is the pick of clubs, gaming rooms, event venues, party photo booths and smart-home interiors where lighting scenes are programmed from an app like a playlist.

RGB LED neon — psychology and character

RGB has no single psychology — because it is every color at once. But owning an RGB neon does communicate a specific attitude: openness to change, playing with technology, the desire to tune a space to the current mood. It is a “universal color”, a “shifting color”, a “party color”. RGB in a commercial space usually means a venue where something dynamic is happening — a club, a disco, a gaming room, an event activation. In a private space — often a smart home, where the owner programs scenes for different situations (“movie”, “evening”, “party”, “relax”).

From a technology perspective, RGB isn’t just color shifting — it is also dynamic modes: slow transitions (fade), pulsing (strobe), music sync (music mode), programmable schedules (e.g. “white in the morning, blue in the evening”). That makes RGB the most “intelligent” neon product, ideal for people who like to experiment with the atmosphere of an interior.

Where an RGB neon works best

  • Nightclub, disco, lounge bar — RGB synchronized to music creates a disco effect, changing the atmosphere with every beat.
  • Gaming room, streaming studio, e-sports arena — RGB is the gaming industry standard (peripherals, case lighting). An RGB neon above the desk fits perfectly.
  • Event venue, photo booth, themed wedding — changes color to match the party theme (e.g. pink for a hen party, blue for a baby shower, rainbow for pride).
  • Smart home, modern living room, young adult’s bedroom — program lighting scenes like a playlist (a waking white in the morning, a cinematic pink-purple mood in the evening).
  • Teen room, college dorm, shared apartment — RGB is the favorite format of Gen Z, letting them tune a room to whatever they are currently into.
  • Creative studio, painting atelier, photo studio — color shifts help evaluate work under different conditions and create creative stimuli.
  • Pop-up store, marketing event, art installation — a color that shifts over time grabs attention and prompts people to stop.
  • Cocktail bar, fusion restaurant — RGB lets you change the atmosphere through the day (lunch — warm white, evening — deep purple/blue).

Control and features — remote, Wi-Fi, app

Our RGB neons come in two control variants that differ in sophistication and price:

  • IR (infrared) remote — the basic version, included with every RGB neon. 24 or 44 buttons, around 16 preset colors plus dynamic modes (fade, strobe, jump). Operating range up to 8 m, requires line of sight (like a TV).
  • Wi-Fi controller + mobile app — the premium option. Full palette of 16 million colors, programmable schedules (e.g. “at 7:00 turn on warm white, at 22:00 dim to deep violet”), music sync (via the phone microphone), voice control (Alexa, Google Assistant), grouping of several neons into scenes. Control from anywhere in the world over the internet.
  • DMX controller (for professional installations) — the option for clubs, event venues and art installations. Controlled from a DJ console, synchronized with the room’s lighting system.

All RGB variants can be dimmed between 5–100% with adjustable color-transition speed. By default we ship with the IR remote — the Wi-Fi controller is an optional add-on (around PLN 100–150 extra). For business customers (club, event venue) we recommend an individual consultation with our B2B department — we’ll select the right control to match the scale of the installation.

Mounting style and backing — what suits RGB

RGB has one key technical caveat: because it shifts colors, it looks best on black or clear acrylic — a white backing “steals” the intensity of some colors:

  • Black acrylic — the best choice for RGB. Every color looks intense, the halo shifts together with the sign. Recommended for clubs, gaming rooms and photo booths.
  • Clear acrylic — the RGB neon appears as a floating sign that changes color. An elegant-futuristic solution recommended for modern living rooms and startup offices.
  • Navy acrylic — an alternative to black, less dramatic, good contrast across all RGB colors.
  • White acrylic — not recommended. RGB on white looks “pastel” and loses intensity — in blue, purple and green modes the effect is weak. Only red and magenta keep some intensity.

For RGB we recommend stand-off installation (4 screws) — the color-shifting halo effect is one of the most spectacular in our whole range. In the evening, the wall behind an RGB neon pulses with the entire palette, creating a “club-in-the-living-room” atmosphere. For rented spaces — hanging on a cable. The other popular option for event venues is a mobile rack mount, so the neon can be moved between rooms.

RGB vs. dedicated colors — how they differ

Customers often ask: why buy a dedicated pink neon if RGB can show pink? The differences are real and worth understanding:

  • Brightness and color purity — a dedicated LED module in a given color (e.g. blue, red) glows about 20–30% brighter than RGB in the same mode. The difference is especially visible in daylight at a window.
  • Purity of white — RGB mixes R+G+B to get white, but the resulting “white” always has a slight color cast (usually greenish or bluish). A dedicated white LED module delivers a clean warm or cool white.
  • Response time — a dedicated color switches on instantly at full power. RGB needs 0.2–0.5 s to reach full intensity after switching to a new color.
  • Price — RGB is around 30–50% more expensive than a dedicated color (more modules, controller, more wiring).
  • Durability — comparable, around 50,000 hours for both.

Conclusion: if you care about one specific color at maximum intensity (e.g. a pure red for a restaurant, a pure blue for an office), pick the dedicated module. If you care about color shifting and scene programming — pick RGB. For a restaurant displaying “OPEN” daily in red — dedicated. For a club where the color shifts with the DJ set — RGB.

What we can produce in RGB

At Fabryka Neonów every product can be made in RGB — any lettering, logo, illustration or shape. In the online neon configurator you choose the text, font, size and the “RGB with controller” option — the system shows the price and a 3D preview in real time. The most popular RGB projects are nightclub logos, phrases like “PARTY”, “NEON”, “RGB”, gaming streamer names, event-venue decorations, themed wedding photo booths and smart-home accents.

For non-standard projects (vector logos, multi-element installations, several RGB neons controlled together) we recommend the tailor-made neon sign form — within 24–48 hours you will receive a free 3D preview with a quote. Our online shop stocks ready-made RGB neon designs. Prices start from PLN 700 for a small RGB neon (30–40 cm); details in pricing. For business customers (clubs, event venues, gaming room chains, art installations) we run a dedicated B2B department with individual terms and installation support.

Frequently asked questions about RGB neon

How many colors does an RGB neon have?

In the IR-remote version — around 16 preset colors plus dynamic modes (fade, strobe, jump). In the Wi-Fi controller version — the full palette of 16 million colors (16,777,216 RGB shades), with arbitrary programming through the phone app.

Can RGB be controlled by voice?

Yes, in the Wi-Fi version. We support integration with Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit. You can say “Alexa, turn the neon pink” or “Hey Google, dim the neon to 30%”. Voice control requires registering the device in the relevant app (TUYA, Smart Life).

Can RGB show just one color permanently?

Yes, of course. After selecting a specific color (e.g. blue) the neon stays on it until you change it via remote or app. Dynamic modes (fade, strobe) have to be turned on deliberately — they don’t activate by themselves. Many customers use RGB in “static” single-color mode, keeping the option to change later.

What if I lose the remote?

We’ll send a spare for around PLN 30–50. The Wi-Fi variant doesn’t require a remote at all — control is from your phone or computer. We recommend ordering an extra remote “just in case” at the time of the original purchase, especially for commercial venues (clubs, event halls).

How much does an RGB neon cost?

RGB is around 30–50% more expensive than a dedicated color. Small RGB neon 30–40 cm — from PLN 700. Medium 60–80 cm — from PLN 1,300. Larger 100+ cm — from PLN 2,000. The Wi-Fi controller adds around PLN 100–150 to each version. You’ll see the exact figure in the configurator. The full pricing list is online.
